        The fifth grade class of Davis Creek Elementary built their version of a well designed city today, June 5, 2007.  The city was named DC BIKINI BOTTOM by the students in memory of their favorite cartoon character.  Previously, they had built the LEGO version of Sponge Bob, and that project stood as a statute in our park.

       The students used LEGO Duplos, Toolos, and other LEGO sets to build their city.  They had discussed what major sections their city should contain earlier, and had divided themselves into nine groups to represent the city sections.  We also used our LEGO Red Rover camera to allow other classrooms to view us during the building process.

       Each city section group had to build a place to work, a place to live, and provide transportation around the city.  The train gave mass transportation for all city dwellers, while the various trams helped move people where needed.
