The Davis Creek Elementary Awards Day for
fifth grade students was held
June 3, 1999 in the school gymnasium.
The fifth grade students were honored
for their accomplishments and awarded their
certificates of graduation by the principal,
Mrs. Wagner. The PTA sponsored the
refreshments
and decorations for the occassion. Mrs. Pat Smith awarded the
students
their Red Cross Basic First Aid cards and had them demonstrate some of
their first aid skills. Mrs. Linda Hamilton presented the students
with certificates for the NASA Mars Red Rover
Project and had a demonstration
of several robots the students had
built.
Mrs. Simon, the 5th Grade teacher,
also showed a Power Point Presentation of
the 1998-99 school year. After the
awards the parents, students, and teachers
enjoyed a reception.
