Competition started with the pledge to the American flag and the singing of the national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.

Davis Creek Elementary FIRST LEGO League Team attends the first West Virginia FLL Tournament on December 14, 2002 at WVU Parkersburg Facility.  Each team had three rounds of robotic competition, a research presentation that featured a solution to a hometown problem using robotics, and a technical presentation to explain their robotic programs and strategies.
