On August 29, 2000 a fifth grade student at Davis Creek Elementary brought an insect called a Hickory Horned Devil to visit. This large and scary looking caterpillar will become a Royal Walnut moth soon. This interesting creature can be found from Alabama through Maine, but is mostly located in Alabama. One of its favorite meals is walnut leaves, although it eats many different kinds of leaves. Be sure to visit the links below to find out more about Harvey, our DC Hickory Horned Devil!
