Davis Creek Elementary's Kindergarten celebrated Groundhog Day by constructing groundhogs in their burrow. The students went outside at sunrise and did their own experiment with their groundhogs to predict the weather. The results of their experiment are that the groundhog did not see his shadow and we will not have six more weeks of winter! Since this contradicts the real prediction of Punxultawney Phil we can only hope that this local prediction is true.
