Happy St. Patrick's Day

Our school newsletter will be published on the Internet monthly or bimonthly between August of 1999 and May of 2000.

In so doing , we hope to create yet another enduring link between our students, their parents, and our staff.

• 5th Grade attendance at the Young People's Concert March 7
• Release Day March 10
• March 16 PTA 7:00PM Kindergarten will have a program.  They need to report to their room at 6:45PM
• March 17 / Last Day for Pennies to Heaven
• March 17 / St. Patrick's Day!
• The Davis Creek Elementary Carnival will be held on April 29th from 12:00-4:00PM.  Please call the PTA and volunteer your time.  We need the parent's help!
• Barboursville Middle School is having an Open House on May 2nd from 6:00-8:00PM.  Incoming 5th grade students and parents are invited to meet their teachers.  A dinner will be held before meeting teachers.  If you have any questions call BMS or Mrs. Vig, the PTA President.

• Happy St. Patrick's Day from Mrs. Hensley's kindergarten.
• We are working on learning about the human body.  We have made our bodies and put them in the hall.  We will be adding parts as we learn about them.
• We hope you enjoyed our St. Patrick's Day Irish Jig Program on March 16th at 7:00PM.

Kindergarten- Ms. Leadman

• Ms. Leadman's kindergarten also wishes everyone a very happy St. Patrick's Day!
• Be sure to register for 2000-2001 DC Kindergarten if your child is eligible.
• We hope you enjoyed our March 16th PTA St. Patrick's Day Celebration at 7:00PM.

 

First Grade- Mrs. Vest

• Mrs. Vest's students enjoyed Dr. Suess books on March 2 to celebrate his birthday.  Click here to see some pictures.

Second Grade- Mrs. Wagoner

• Mrs. Wagoner's second grade said goodbye to Ms. Gore, their associate teacher.  The good news is that she just moved down the hallway to the fifth grade classroom.

Third Grade- Mrs. Hatfield

• Mrs. Hatfield's students are working hard on Scoring High to prepare for the upcoming SAT achievement test in April.

• Mrs. McGinnis is also working on Scoring High to prepare for the SAT achievement tests.  The week of April 10th is coming soon.

Fourth Grade-Mrs. Reichenbecher

• Mrs. Reichenbecher's fourth grade is working on basic skills for the SAT achievement test.

• We want to welcome our associate teacher, Ms. Rhonda Gore.  Ms. Gore will be with us from March 2 through April 28.  Welcome to the 5th grade!
• We have had several people driving our DC Mars Red Rover from the Internet.  It is quite exciting!
• We are almost finished with our LEGO Miss Adventure stories.  Be sure to visit our web pages.
• We will be attending an orchestral concert at the Keith Albee on March 7 from 9:00-11:30.  The Young People's Concert is presented each year to all the fifth graders in Cabell County.

Davis Creek Elementary
