Marscape Creation

Mrs. Tish Martin, art instructor at Davis Creek Elementary, made our Mars landscape for our Mars Red Rover Project.  Mrs. Martin used a styrofoam box, paper, tape, and paint to create a very realistic Mars for our robotic Red Rover to roam on its journeys.  Mrs. Martin also made some Mars "rocks" similiar in appearance to the rocks that have been named on Mars during the 1998 Pathfinder mission from NASA.  We have used the Marscape on two way excursions between Davis Creek Elementary and Pea Ridge Elementary.  We have also connected with Armadale Primary School in Melbourne, Australia.  Thank you, Mrs. Martin!
