The Davis Creek Elementary fifth grade
students presented their projects and mastery of LEGO
Cad Projects at Marshall University on April
29 from 6:30-8:30 in Smith Hall Computer Lab 532. The students projects
were built not only physically, but also built virtually on the LEGO
Cad program. Models were demonstrated
on a table nearby, as slide presentations and pictures of student
projects cycled through while visitors explored the exhibit. The
fifth grade students showed the visitors how to build LEGO
models on the LEGO Cad
program by selecting appropriate pieces and manipulating them into place.
LEGO Cad even
has LEGO Motion
available for further development of student models.
The visitors
that came to the LEGO Cad Demonstration
were varied. There were Marshall professors, with some of their families,
Marshall students, Cabell County instructors, parents and siblings of Davis
Creek student presentors, and other interested individuals.
These LEGO
CAD projects made
the Davis Creek Elementary
Math Awareness Demonstration at
Marshall University very interesting
and provided a "hands on"
opportunity
for everyone who visited.
The Davis Creek Elementary fifth
grade students wishes to thank Mrs. Hamilton, Marshall University Math
Instructor, and Marshall University Math Department for the use of the
facilities and the time and effort expended for our benefit. Anyone
wishing more information about the LEGO Dacta
and LEGO CAD
Program may contact Mrs. Hamilton at:hamilton@marshall.edu
