Up LEGO "Miss
Adventure" #4
We made a fishing pole and
a trap to catch food. We didn't have much trouble with the pole, but our
mackerel was too heavy at first. It fell apart. Then, we arranged the axles
to snap when something moves. Finally, we made a bear on its hind legs
to step in the trap. The person stranded on the "Miss Adventure" island
will now have utensils to catch food.

These pictures show Brenda
and Ally working on the problem of getting food for the stranded victim
on the island. They made a fishing pole, a fish, and a bear trap. They
used the Gateway computer to build their model on the LEGO
CAD program. Next week Jamie and Kevin will
struggle with the problem of signaling for help.
