Is Anyone Out There?

Well, I've done everything I could to survive on the island, but I need more!  Now it's time to get off of this island.  I don't know if there is anyone else on the island.  I'd love to find some help.  I'm trying to signal other people using a telegram using three short and three long clicks, similar to the old SOS used in this country during the development of the west.

Using part of the ship's motor I tried to make a radio, but I failed.  Then inspiration struck me!  Instead of a radio, I am going to make a telegram system.  I first used a small rock and a big rock, with two bamboo sticks for a handle to work it by hand.  I soon found out that working it by hand was too hard and time consuming.  I was able to design and build a machine that tapped out SOS using a battery.  That way the message can be sent out 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until someone hears and responds.

After two days, I finally made contact with another country.  It was the American Navy!  The Navy told me that I was too far away for them to rescue easily.  Now I am thinking of building a raft.

The fifth grade students at Davis Creek Elementary used the LEGO Simple Motorized Machine Set to build their models for the Miss Adventure challenge.  The students also used LEGOCAD, an older software product from LEGO, to build their models virtually on the computer.
