LEGO Miss Adventure Projects consists of seven challenges to plan and build ways to survive a ship wreck near atropical island.  Each student group must complete a journal and a LEGOCAD rendering of their model.  The seven challenges are: #1:  Salvage, #2:  Shelter, #3:  Water, #4:  Food, #5:  Signal, #6:  Transportation, #7:  Rescue.  Students are also encouraged to draw a picture of their model and explain how it accomplishes the goals set, and how it aids the ship wrecked islanders to survive until they are rescued.

The first challenge for the victims is to salvage the items on board the ship while reaching the island nearby before the ship actually submerged under the ocean.  Time is short, so this design will allow the victims to get to the island along with many of the ship parts and supplies.  Notice that the crane will allow items to be moved onto the raft and the motor will power it away from the sinking ship.  The extra weight on the rear of the deck will steady the raft with its cargo.

The crane is pulled up to make the raft more sea worthy.  It can be lowered again closer to the island.
