LEGO Miss
Adventure Projects consists of seven challenges to plan and build ways
to survive a ship wreck near a tropical
island. Each student group must complete a journal and a LEGOCAD
rendering of their model. The seven challenges are: #1:
Salvage,
#2: Shelter, #3: Water, #4: Food, #5: Signal,
#6:
Transportation, #7: Rescue. Students are also encouraged to
draw a picture of their model and explain how it accomplishes the goals
set, and how it aids the ship wrecked islanders
to survive until they are rescued. Jennifer and Ashley met the immediate
challenge
of a shelter by building the model below. The shelter features an off the ground
construction
for better protection of the inhabitants. Later they, along with Tommy, automated an
Intelligent House using a light sensor, touch sensor, and an RCX. The Intelligent House was
programmed using robolab.
This LEGOCAD representation of the
shelter
model is exact in every detail to the original.
