Davis Creek Elementary
Builds "Simon City"

On November 21, 2000 the Davis Creek Elementary fifth grade class built "Simon City".  The day before the construction plans were made to develop the city in a logical way.  Each group was responsible for a place to live, a place to work, and a way to get back and forth.  It was also decided to have each group of three build sections of the city and everyone work together on the railroad system that would surround the city.

Building decisions are sometimes much debated before resolution.
Building and then pausing to admire the work.

Building an airport on the left and a lake side resort on the right.
Farm on the left and 8th Street on the right.

Playground teeter-totter and mansion on the right.
"Simon City" became a vibrant city that was well organized, functional, and provided living space, work places, and transportation to all its citizens.  It may be a great place to take your next vacation!
